Hot-DIP 60.3*2.5mm Welded Galvanized Round Steel Pipe for Construction
Hot dip galvanized pipe: einforced with a Zinc-Iron Alloy Layer to Protect against Corrosion
Hot-dip galvanized steel pipe is formed by metallurgical reaction between molten zinc and steel substrate under high temperature, which forms a robust zinc-iron alloy layer on the surface. The process involves pickling the steel pipe to eliminate surface rust or iron oxide, then rinsing with a cleaning solution containing ammonium chloride, zinc chloride, or both as an aqueous solution. After completion of treatment, the pipe is dipped in a molten zinc bath at a high temperature.
Complex physical and chemical processes take place at the interface between the steel surface and the molten zinc, leading to a very dense layer of zinc-iron alloy during galvanization. This coating is chemically bonded to the outer pure zinc layer and the steel core, which gives us full encapsulation, very strong adhesion, and superb corrosion. Hot dip galvanized pipes are perfect for most environments where rust-free service for many years is desired.
Features
Outstanding Corrosion Resistance: Hot-dip galvanizing is an economical and popular method for corrosion protection, using about half of the world’s zinc output. Zinc deposits a dense protective coating on the steel surface and provides cathodic protection. Galvanic Protection — Even when the coating is compromised, the steel underneath will continue to be protected from rust through galvanic protection.
Good Formability and Weldability: Galvanized steel is usually low-carbon grades and has excellent cold bending performance, welding performance and stamping performance. This allows it to be used for complicated structural and fabrication work.
High Reflectivity: Because the zinc coating is highly reflective of heat, there is an added layer of protection from the heat effects, and in some applications, this can also lead to energy savings.
High Coating Toughness: The galvanized coating exhibits a unique metallurgical structure that protects against mechanical damage during transportation, handling, long term exposure and it provides long-term protection of the steel over its service life.
Application
Scaffolding & Shoring: Acting as column or horizontal tie rod with high strength, the hot-dip galvanizing coating provides high reusability under the harsh environment of construction site.
Greenhouse Structures: The 2.5mm wall thickness offers excellent wind and snow load resistance, and the hot-dip galvanizing treatment provides rust-free service for 15-20 years under high temperature and high humidity.
Fencing & Guardrails: For sale of road barriers, factory fence supports and handrails for stairs; beautifully designed, maintenance-free.
Low-Pressure Fluid: Conveyance in agriculture irrigation, temporary fire-fighting pipelines, water supply and drainage of construction.
Solar Mounting Systems: Acting as the structural support pipe for mini centralized photovoltaic projects.

Galvanized pipe is a common building material and is used in a wide range. In the process of shipping, due to the influence of environmental factors, it is easy to cause problems such as rust, deformation or damage to the steel pipe, so it is very important for the packaging and transportation of galvanized pipes. This paper will introduce the packaging method of galvanized pipe in the process of shipping.
2. Packaging requirements
1. The surface of the steel pipe should be clean and dry, and there should be no grease, dust and other debris.
2. The steel pipe must be packed with double-layer plastic coated paper, the outer layer is covered with a plastic sheet with a thickness of not less than 0.5mm, and the inner layer is covered with a transparent polyethylene plastic film with a thickness of not less than 0.02mm.
3. The steel pipe must be marked after packaging, and the marking should include the type, specification, batch number and production date of the steel pipe.
4. The steel pipe should be classified and packaged according to different categories such as specification, size and length to facilitate loading and unloading and warehousing.
Third, packaging method
1. Before packaging the galvanized pipe, the surface of the pipe should be cleaned and treated to ensure that the surface is clean and dry, so as to avoid problems such as corrosion of the steel pipe during shipping.
2. When packaging galvanized pipes, attention should be paid to the protection of steel pipes, and the use of red cork splints to strengthen both ends of the steel pipes to prevent deformation and damage during packaging and transportation.
3. The packaging material of galvanized pipe must have the effect of moisture-proof, water-proof and rust-proof to ensure that the steel pipe is not affected by moisture or rust during the shipping process.
4. After the galvanized pipe is packed, pay attention to moisture-proof and sunscreen to avoid long-term exposure to sunlight or humid environment.
4. Precautions
1. Galvanized pipe packaging must pay attention to the standardization of size and length to avoid waste and loss caused by size mismatch.
2. After the packaging of galvanized pipe, it is necessary to mark and classify it in time to facilitate management and warehousing.
3, galvanized pipe packaging, should pay attention to the height and stability of the goods stacking, to avoid the tilt of the goods or stacking too high to cause damage to the goods.
The above is the packaging method of galvanized pipe in the shipping process, including packaging requirements, packaging methods and precautions. When packaging and transportation, it is necessary to operate in strict accordance with the regulations, and effectively protect the steel pipe to ensure the safe arrival of the goods at the destination.
