Gi Sheets Hot Dip Zn Coated G90 Z30 Galvanized Steel Sheet
Galvanized sheet refers to a steel sheet coated with a layer of zinc on the surface. Galvanizing is an economical and effective rust prevention method that is often used, and about half of the world's zinc production is used in this process.
According to the production and processing methods, it can be divided into the following categories:
Hot-dip Galvanized Sheet. Dip the thin steel plate into the molten zinc tank to make the thin steel plate with a layer of zinc adhered to its surface. At present, the continuous galvanizing process is mainly used for production, that is, the coiled steel plate is continuously immersed in a galvanizing tank with molten zinc to make a galvanized steel plate;
Alloyed galvanized steel plate. This kind of steel panel is also made by hot dip method, but it is heated to about 500℃ immediately after coming out of the tank, so that it can form an alloy film of zinc and iron. This galvanized sheet has good paint adhesion and weldability;
Electro-galvanized steel plate. The galvanized steel panel manufactured by electroplating has good processability. However, the coating is thinner and its corrosion resistance is not as good as that of hot-dip galvanized sheets
Characteristics: Galvanized steel is very well resistant to rust with a reasonable degree of paintability, formability and spot weldability.
Uses and Problems: They are commonly employed in household appliance components like thermostats, where the part must be attractive. But galvanized steel sheets are overpriced comparing with SECC, so there is a trend that some manufacturers change over to SECC to reduce cost.
Selection of Quality: Zinc coating can be assessed by the diameter of spangle and thickness of zinc layer - the smaller spangle size and the thicker zinc coating, the better the quality. Anti-fingerprint treatments may also be applied by manufacturers. Coating thickness grades, e.g. Z12 are related to the zinc mass/density coating on both sides, with a Z12 coating meaning a total coating of 120 g/m2.
Galvanized Steel Sheet which have good corrosion resistance and long service life, can be used in many applications. In building products including roofing, wall panels and structural components. In the automotive industry, they are used as body panels, chassis components, and brackets. They also are widely used in household appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners, where look and strength are both required. In addition, galvanized steel plates have been applied extensively in machinery manufacturing, pipelines, storage tanks, electrical cases and HVAC, and more industries, bringing you with economical and long-lasting anti-corrosion solutions for different applications.
