DX51D+z Custom Colored 4×8 GI Hot Dip Galvanized Cold Rolled Carbon Steel Plate
Galvanized sheet is flat steel substrate covered with an outer zinc coating. Galvanization stands out as a cost‑efficient, widely‑adopted anti‑corrosion treatment. Roughly half of global zinc output goes toward this surface‑protection technique.
Based on fabrication techniques, galvanized sheets fall into three primary groups:
Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Plate
Thin steel strips get submerged inside molten zinc baths for surface zinc adhesion. Most manufacturers now rely on continuous galvanizing lines. Coiled steel runs steadily through the molten‑zinc bath to produce finished galvanized coils.
Alloy‑type Galvanized Steel Sheet
This variant also adopts the hot‑dip procedure. Right after exiting the zinc bath, sheets undergo heating near 500℃, creating a zinc‑iron alloy surface layer. It delivers outstanding coating‑paint bonding performance and favorable welding properties.
Electro‑galvanized steel sheet
Produced via electroplating, this material boasts excellent workability for forming and machining. Its zinc coating stays comparatively thin, so anti‑rust capacity is inferior to conventional hot‑dipped galvanized stock.
It features solid anti‑corrosion capability, great paint‑bonding performance, decent stamping flexibility and reliable spot‑welding suitability.
This steel material covers plenty of application scenarios. It is widely fabricated into small home‑appliance components needing premium surface finish. Given its higher price tag compared with SECC substrate, numerous producers opt for SECC alternatives to cut production expenses.
Zinc‑related indicators serve as major quality benchmarks for galvanized finishes, including spangle dimension and zinc‑coating thickness. Finer spangles alongside thicker zinc deposits represent superior galvanizing quality.
Anti‑fingerprint surface finishing is available upon request from mills.
Coating weight grades are another straightforward classification method. For instance, the Z12 marking refers to a combined zinc coating weight of 120 g per square meter on both steel‑sheet sides.
Galvanized sheets and coils serve extensive sectors covering construction, light‑duty manufacturing, automotive production, farming, livestock breeding, fisheries and commercial logistics.
Within the construction sector, these steel supplies are fabricated into rust‑proof roof panels, roof trusses and other components for industrial and residential buildings.
The light‑manufacturing field relies on them for home‑appliance casings, household flues and kitchen hardware. Auto manufacturers adopt the material for vehicle components that demand strong corrosion resistance.
For farming, livestock and fishery businesses, galvanized steel works well for grain handling facilities, frozen‑meat containers and seafood‑storage hardware. Commercial‑side applications include goods‑handling containers and industrial‑packaging assemblies.
