EN10255 8 inch S235 Hot Rolled Mild Carbon Steel Zinc Coated Galvanized Steel Pipe and Tubes

Short Description:

Galvanized pipe is made of molten metal and iron matrix reaction to produce alloy layer, so that the matrix and coating two combination. galvanizing is to first pickling the steel tube. In order to remove the iron oxide on the surface of the steel tube, after pickling, it is cleaned in the tank of ammonium chloride or zinc chloride solution or mixed aqueous solution of ammonium chloride and zinc chloride, and then sent into the hot dip plating tank. Hot dip galvanizing has the advantages of uniform coating, strong adhesion and long service life. Complex physical and chemical reactions occur between the steel tube base and the molten bath to form a compact zinc-iron alloy layer with corrosion resistance. The alloy layer is integrated with the pure zinc layer and the steel tube matrix. Therefore, its corrosion resistance is strong.

    Product Detail

Hot‑dip galvanizing creates a strong metallurgical bond between molten zinc and the steel substrate by forming a durable zinc‑iron alloy layer that fuses the coating firmly to the base pipe material.

Prior to immersion, Hot dip galvanized steel tubes go through pickling treatment to strip surface iron‑oxide scale. They are then rinsed in ammonium chloride, zinc chloride, or mixed flux solution before being lowered into the molten zinc bath. This well‑established procedure yields an evenly distributed, tightly‑adhered zinc coating that delivers extended service life.

Complex physical‑chemical reactions take place when steel contacts liquid zinc, building compact, corrosion‑resistant zinc‑iron alloy layers. These alloy sections merge seamlessly with both the outer pure‑zinc finish and the steel pipe body, granting the finished pipe robust anti‑corrosion performance.

    Main Application

    1. Water Supply & Distribution
Our galvanized steel pipes are widely adopted for municipal water delivery and public utility piping works. They are fully applicable to standard water distribution systems, provided the pipe grade, zinc anti-corrosion coating and local plumbing compliance standards match the project’s operational demands.

    2. Construction & Building Services
Ideal for a full range of building engineering applications, these steel pipes serve as reliable materials for building structural frames, safety handrails, construction scaffolding and general mechanical installations. All applications can be customized to align with specific pipe specifications and on-site project standards.

    3. Industrial Piping & Mechanical Equipment
Suited for conventional industrial fluid transmission pipelines, mechanical equipment support structures and factory utility piping systems. The superior anti-rust and structural stability of galvanized steel make it a dependable choice for all industrial scenarios that fit its operating parameter range.

    4. Agricultural & Irrigation Facilities
Tailored for rural agricultural engineering use, our galvanized pipes are commonly deployed in farm water supply networks, field irrigation pipelines, agricultural fencing and other outdoor farming facilities. The zinc coating effectively resists outdoor humidity and environmental corrosion, extending the service life of agricultural installations.

    5. Municipal & Outdoor Infrastructure
Perfect for outdoor infrastructure projects exposed to complex weather conditions, including road guardrails, municipal support structures, public utility piping and outdoor structural installations. All usages strictly follow project design specifications and outdoor engineering standards.

    6. Fire Protection Piping Systems
Qualified galvanized steel pipes can be used for building fire sprinkler pipelines and dedicated fire protection piping systems. Applications are permitted only when the pipe specification, galvanized coating, matching pipe fittings and local fire safety codes fully meet the designated fire service requirements.

Galvanized steel pipe is a versatile construction material used across many industries. During ocean shipment, harsh ambient conditions may lead to surface rust, denting or physical damage. Proper packaging and handling are therefore critical to safeguard the pipes. Below we outline our standard packaging practice for galvanized steel tubes for export shipments.

    Packaging Specifications

    1. Pipe surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and kept dry, free of oil stains, dust and other contaminants.
    2. Each pipe uses a two-layer plastic wrapping system: an outer plastic sheet of minimum 0.5 mm thickness, paired with an inner transparent polyethylene film no less than 0.02 mm thick.
    3. Clear markings are applied after wrapping. Marking details include pipe grade, dimensions, batch number and manufacturing date.
    4. Pipes are grouped separately by specification, diameter and length to streamline loading, unloading and warehouse storage.

    Packaging Procedure

    1. We clean and prepare every galvanized pipe before wrapping. A dry, clean surface prevents corrosion risks while goods are in transit.
    2. End protection is a key step. Red cork end guards are fitted to both pipe ends to avoid deformation and impact damage during packing and delivery.
    3. All wrapping materials are selected for moisture, water and rust resistance, protecting the galvanized coating from dampness throughout shipment.
    4. Once packed, bundles are kept away from direct sunlight and humid surroundings to prevent coating degradation.

    Handling Guidelines

    1. Bundles are sized to match pipe lengths. Standardised packaging dimensions help prevent material waste and mismatch issues.
    2. Labelling and sorting are completed immediately after packing for easier stock control and warehousing.
    3. Stack height and stability are closely monitored. Over-stacking or uneven stacking is avoided to stop bundle shifting and product damage.

Our full export packaging protocol covers requirements, packing workflow and site handling rules. All procedures follow strict internal standards to protect galvanized steel pipes and guarantee intact delivery to your destination.

    FAQ

    Q1: What are your prices?

Pricing fluctuates in response to raw material supply and global market conditions. Once your team reaches out with project details, we will prepare and share our latest quotation.

Q2: Do you have a minimum order quantity?

We apply a minimum order quantity for all overseas bulk orders. If you plan to resell and only need smaller volumes, you may browse available options on our website.
