1. Why specify S275J0H over regular S275JR for piling works?
Core: Avoid brittle fracture. S275J0 delivers minimum 27J Charpy V-notch impact toughness at 0°C per J0 grade. Under heavy dynamic piling loads in stiff ground or cold climates, it prevents pipe cracking, unlike room-temperature-certified S275JR prone to catastrophic structural failure.
2. Secure weld integrity amid high-energy piling?
Core: Full non-destructive testing. All structural welds undergo 100% continuous ultrasonic (UT) inspection plus supplementary radiographic (RT) checks at pipe ends. Welding follows EN ISO 15614-1 to eliminate internal flaws and match weld strength to base metal.
3. Stop hot-dip galvanising (HDG) peeling during transit?
Core: Controlled silicon + Sa 2.5 blast cleaning. Restrict steel silicon to <0.03% or 0.14%–0.25% to avoid Sandelin-induced brittle zinc coating. ISO 8501-1 Sa 2.5 blasting ensures ductile, well-adhered galvanisation resistant to abrasion delamination.
4. Optimal surface finish for C5-M severe marine exposure?
Core: Glass-flake epoxy + full holiday testing. 400–500μm dry-film glass-flake epoxy over 50–80μm blast profile. Every pipe gets 100% high-voltage spark holiday inspection to seal pinholes and block chloride ingress.、
5. Prevent coating scratches during shipment?
Core: Non-metallic separation. Rubber/plastic spacers separate stacked pipes onboard; heavy-duty end caps guard against end impact. Fabric/nylon slings used exclusively for loading to eliminate metal-on-metal contact.
