Bulk Cargo
Suitable for large quantities of cargo. Rolls can be placed directly on the ship or stacked. Anti-slip mats should be laid on the bottom and surface of the rolls. Rolls should be separated by wooden wedges or wire and protected from wind and rain with tarpaulins or rust-preventive oil.
Advantages: High payload capacity, low cost.
Note: Requires specialized lifting equipment. Condensation or surface damage must be prevented during transport.
Containerized Cargo
Suitable for small to medium-sized cargo. Rolls are individually packaged and treated for waterproofing and rust prevention; desiccants can be placed inside the container.
Advantages: Provides better protection, easy to handle.
Disadvantages: Higher cost, reduced container capacity.
Q1: What are the applications of ASTM A992 steel?
ASTM A992 steel is mainly used in structural applications such as building frames and structures, industrial plants, and heavy steel structure manufacturing. It is particularly suitable for welding H-beams and I-beams.
Q2: What are the advantages of ASTM A992 steel?
ASTM A992 steel has high yield strength, good ductility, excellent weldability, and stable properties, making it easier to withstand loads and an ideal choice for load-bearing structural steel.
Q3: Can I weld and process ASTM A992 steel?
Yes. A992 steel is specially designed with excellent weldability, ensuring fast, strong, and reliable welding during structural construction, while helping to minimize processing time.
Q4: Which industries use ASTM A992 hot-rolled steel coils?
ASTM A 992 steel coils have a wide range of applications in industry, especially in construction, infrastructure (bridges and rail transportation), industrial equipment manufacturing, warehousing, and energy projects (such as power and petrochemicals), where there is high demand.
Q5: What are your typical supply terms and export packaging?
Standard export packaging includes: 1) Waterproof bundling based on the width and thickness of the steel; 2) Applying rust-preventive oil (according to customer requirements); 3) Reinforcement with wooden pallets or steel frames. This makes both container and bulk cargo shipping very convenient.
