    Features

    1.Double protection of zinc layer:
A dense iron-zinc alloy layer (strong bonding force) and a pure zinc layer are formed on the surface, isolating air and moisture, greatly delaying the corrosion of steel pipes.

    2.Sacrificial anode protection:
Even if the coating is partially damaged, zinc will corrode first (electrochemical protection), protecting the steel substrate from erosion.

    3.Long life:
In a normal environment, the service life can reach 20-30 years, which is much longer than ordinary steel pipes (such as the life of painted pipes is about 3-5 years)

    Main Application

Hot-dip galvanized pipes are widely used in building structures (such as factory trusses, scaffolding), municipal engineering (guardrails, street light poles, drainage pipes), energy and power (transmission towers, photovoltaic brackets), agricultural facilities (greenhouse skeletons, irrigation systems), industrial manufacturing (shelves, ventilation ducts) and other fields due to their excellent corrosion resistance, high strength and long life. They provide maintenance-free, low-cost and reliable protection in outdoor, humid or corrosive environments with a service life of up to 20-30 years. They are the preferred anti-corrosion solution to replace ordinary steel pipes.

Galvanized Steel Round Pipe Production Process

The production process for galvanized round welded pipes follows these steps:

    1. Raw material Pretreatment: Select low-carbon steel coils, cut into strips of appropriate width, pickled to remove scale, rinsed with clean water, and dried to prevent rust.

    2. Forming and Welding: The steel strips are fed into a roller press and gradually rolled into round tube billets. A high-frequency welding machine melts the tube billet seams and squeezes and compacts them, forming a black-skinned round tube. After water cooling, the tubes are sized and corrected, and then cut to length as required.

    3. Surface Galvanizing (galvanizing can be divided into hot-dip galvanizing (hot-dip galvanizing) and cold-dip galvanizing (electrogalvanizing), with hot-dip galvanizing being the predominant method in industry (it offers a more effective rust prevention effect)): The welded pipes undergo a secondary pickling to remove impurities, are dipped in a galvanizing flux, and then hot-dipped in molten zinc at 440-460°C to form a zinc alloy coating. Excess zinc is removed with an air knife, and then cooled. (Cold-dip galvanizing is an electrodeposited zinc layer and is less commonly used.)

    4. Inspection and Packaging: Check the zinc layer and size, measure adhesion and corrosion resistance, classify and bundle the qualified products, and put them into storage with labels.

The production process for galvanized seamless round pipes follows these steps:

    1. Raw Material Pretreatment: Seamless steel billets (mostly low-carbon steel) are selected, cut into fixed lengths, and the surface oxide scale and impurities are removed. The billets are then heated to an appropriate temperature for piercing.

    2. Piercing: The heated billets are rolled into hollow tubes through a piercing mill. The tubes are then passed through a tube rolling mill to adjust the wall thickness and roundness. The outer diameter is then corrected by a sizing mill to form standard seamless black tubes. After cooling, the tubes are cut to length.

    3. Galvanizing: The seamless black tubes undergo a secondary pickling treatment to remove the oxide layer. They are then rinsed with water and dipped in a galvanizing agent. They are then immersed in 440-460°C molten zinc to form a zinc-iron alloy coating. Excess zinc is removed with an air knife, and the tubes are cooled. (Cold galvanizing is an electrodeposition process and is less commonly used.)

    4. Inspection and Packaging: The uniformity and adhesion of the zinc coating are inspected, as well as the dimensions of the pipes. Approved pipes are then sorted, bundled, labeled, and stored to ensure they meet rust prevention and mechanical performance standards.

    Galvanized Steel Round Pipe Transportation

Transportation methods for products include road, rail, sea, or multimodal transport, based on customer needs.
Road transport, using trucks (e.g., flatbeds), is flexible for short-medium distances, enabling direct delivery to sites/warehouses with easy loading/unloading, ideal for small or urgent orders but costly for long distances.
Rail transport relies on freight trains (e.g., covered/open wagons with rainproof strapping), suitable for long-distance, large-volume shipments with low cost and high reliability, but needs short-distance transshipments.
Water transport (inland/sea) via cargo ships (e.g., bulk/container ships) has ultra-low costs, fitting long-distance, large-volume coastal/riverine transport, but is port/route-limited and slow.
    Multimodal transport (e.g., rail+road, sea+road) balances cost and timeliness, suitable for cross-regional, long-distance, door-to-door high-value orders.
