PSL1 = Standard grade, designed for general oil and gas applications. It has relatively basic requirements for testing, inspection, and quality control, making it a more cost-effective option.
PSL2 = Premium grade, intended for demanding oilfield environments. It requires stricter control of chemical composition, mechanical performance, and quality inspection to ensure higher reliability and safety.
| Feature | PSL1 | PSL2 |
| Chemical Composition | Basic control | Tight control |
| Mechanical Properties | Standard yield & tensile | Stricter consistency & strength |
| Testing | Routine tests | Additional tests & NDE |
| Quality Assurance | Basic QA | Full traceability & strict QA |
| Cost | Lower | Higher |
| Typical Application | Standard wells | High-pressure, high-temp, deep wells |
Summary:
API 5CT T95 seamless steel pipe is commonly utilized in challenging oil and gas well applications, being subject to stringent requirements for strength, toughness, and dependability.
| Application Area | Description |
| Oil & Gas Well Casing | Applied as strong casing material for deep and ultra-deep wells, helping maintain wellbore stability in high-pressure and high-temperature conditions. |
| Oil & Gas Tubing | Used for production tubing to transport oil, gas, and other fluids safely and efficiently from the reservoir. |
| Drilling Operations | Suitable for demanding drilling environments, including HPHT (high-pressure, high-temperature) well conditions. |
| Deepwater & Offshore Wells | Designed for offshore and deepwater projects where high strength and corrosion resistance are required. |
| High-Pressure & High-Temperature Wells | Provides reliable performance in extreme operating environments where conventional tubing may not meet strength and durability requirements. |
RAW MATERIAL PREPARATION
Selection of high-quality carbon steel billets.
Verification of chemical composition to meet T95 grade requirements.
HEATING
Billets are heated in a furnace to the proper forging temperature (typically 1150–1250°C).
PIERCING & ROLLING
Hot billets are pierced to form a hollow shell.
Shells are then rolled using a seamless tube mill to achieve the desired outer diameter (OD) and wall thickness.
SIZING &STRETCH REDUCING
Tubes are passed through stretch-reducing mills to meet precise OD and wall thickness tolerances.
HEAT TREATMENT
Quenching and tempering to achieve required mechanical properties (tensile strength, yield strength, hardness, and toughness).
STRAIGHTENING & CUTTING
Tubes are straightened and cut to standard lengths (6–12m) or customer-specified lengths. Premium connections (NC, LTC, or custom threads) are machined if required.
NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING (NDT)
Methods such as ultrasonic testing (UT) and magnetic particle inspection (MPI) ensure structural integrity and defect-free tubing.
PACKAGING & SHIPPING
Tubes are bundled, protected with anti-corrosion coating, and packed for transport (suitable for container or bulk shipment).

All tubes are packed on IPPC-certified fumigated wooden pallets in compliance with Central American import requirements. Each bundle is protected with a three-layer waterproof membrane to withstand humid and tropical environments, while durable plastic end caps help prevent dust, moisture, and foreign materials from entering the tubes. Standard bundle weights are controlled at 2–3 tons, making unloading easier for common lifting equipment at local construction sites.
Flexible Length Options
To meet different transportation and project requirements, our steel tubes are available in multiple length options. The standard 12-meter length is optimized for container shipping, while 8-meter and 10-meter customized lengths are also available to adapt to inland transportation conditions in regions such as Guatemala and Honduras.
Complete Export Documentation Support
We provide a full set of import documents to ensure smooth customs clearance, including Spanish Certificate of Origin (Form B), Material Test Certificate (MTC), SGS Inspection Report, Packing List, and Commercial Invoice. Our professional export team supports document verification and provides quick corrections when needed to avoid unnecessary delays.
Reliable Shipping & Logistics Services
After production and inspection, goods are arranged through professional logistics channels for secure ocean and inland transportation. Typical shipping routes include:
- China → Colón Port, Panama: approximately 30 days
- China → Manzanillo Port, Mexico: approximately 28 days
- China → Limón Port, Costa Rica: approximately 35 days
For final delivery, we also cooperate with experienced local logistics partners to provide efficient port-to-site transportation, ensuring steel tubes arrive safely at oil fields, construction sites, and industrial projects.
