    Hot dip galvanized pipe: einforced with a Zinc-Iron Alloy Layer to Protect against Corrosion

    Hot-dip galvanized steel pipe is formed by metallurgical reaction between molten zinc and steel substrate under high temperature, which forms a robust zinc-iron alloy layer on the surface. The process involves pickling the steel pipe to eliminate surface rust or iron oxide, then rinsing with a cleaning solution containing ammonium chloride, zinc chloride, or both as an aqueous solution. After completion of treatment, the pipe is dipped in a molten zinc bath at a high temperature.

    Complex physical and chemical processes take place at the interface between the steel surface and the molten zinc, leading to a very dense layer of zinc-iron alloy during galvanization. This coating is chemically bonded to the outer pure zinc layer and the steel core, which gives us full encapsulation, very strong adhesion, and superb corrosion.
