    Technological Process

    1. Raw Material Preparation

    Billet Selection: Mainly carbon steel or low-alloy steel round billets are chosen.

    Chemical Composition Testing: Verify that billets comply with ASTM A106 standards, including levels of C, Mn, P, S, and Si.

    Surface Inspection: Discard billets with cracks, porosity, or surface impurities.

    2. Heating & Piercing

    Billets are placed into a reheating furnace at approximately 1100℃ - 1250℃.

    The heated billets are then processed in a piercing mill.

    Hollow billets are produced using the Mannesmann piercing process.

    A preliminary tube blank is created, slightly exceeding the final tube in both length and diameter.

    3. Rolling (Elongation)

    Hot Rolling Mill continuously transforms hollow billets into seamless steel pipes with the desired outer diameter and wall thickness.

    The rolling process includes:

    Longitudinal Rolling

    Elongation (Stretching)

    Sizing (Straightening)

    This ensures precise control over pipe wall thickness and outer diameter tolerances.

    4. Cooling

    The rolled pipes are cooled naturally using water or air.

    Optional Normalizing or Quenching & Tempering can be applied to enhance mechanical properties, such as tensile strength and yield strength.

    5. Cutting to Length

    Pipes are cut to the required lengths using oxy-fuel cutting or sawing, depending on customer specifications.

    Standard lengths generally range from 5.8m to 12m.

    6. Surface Treatment (Internal & External)

    Descaling/Pickling: Acid pickling removes oxide scale from the pipe surface.

    Oil Coating/Greasing: Applied to prevent rust during storage and transportation.

    Internal Anti-Corrosion Treatment: Available upon customer request.

    7. Testing & Inspection

    Chemical Analysis to verify material composition.

    Mechanical Testing: Includes tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation.

    Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Methods such as ultrasonic or eddy current testing.

    Hydrostatic Testing to ensure pipe integrity.

    Dimensional Inspection to confirm compliance with specifications.

    8. Packaging & Delivery

    Protective End Caps: Plastic or steel caps are applied to both ends of the pipes.

    Bundling: Pipes are bundled and securely strapped with steel bands.

    Waterproof Packaging: Wooden pallets or crates are used to ensure safe shipping by sea.
