Packaging Requirements
Strapping
Steel sheet piles are bundled together, with each bundle firmly fastened using metal or plastic strapping to ensure structural integrity during handling.
End Protection
To avoid damage to bundle ends, they are either wrapped in heavy-duty plastic sheeting or capped with wooden guards—effectively shielding against impacts, scratches, or deformation.
Rust Protection
All bundles undergo anti-rust treatment: options include coating with anti-corrosive oil or full encapsulation in waterproof plastic film, which prevents oxidation and preserves material quality during storage and transit.
Handling & Transportation Protocols

1. What is S355 / S355GP steel?
S355 is a European standard structural steel grade that comes with EN 10025 standards, it has a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa.
S355GP is a grade under EN 10248 for sheet piles with similar strength and properties to sheet piling but designed for piling.
2. What is the difference between S355 and S355GP?
S355: Typical engineering steel section. Applications of it includes beams, plates etc.
S355GP: Grade of sheet pile, with more stringent requirements on chemical composition and mechanical properties to provide best piling performance, durability and weldability.
