Hot Dipped Dx51d Z275 Z180 Zinc Coating Steel Sheet Galvanized Steel Coil Strip Sheet Plate for Building
Galvanized coil(Galvanized Steel Coils) are continuous-roll steel products coated with a zinc layer (40-600g/m²) via hot-dip galvanizing, forming a metallurgical bond that provides sacrificial corrosion protection for the base metal. Essential for construction, automotive, and appliance industries, they enable high-speed processing in roll-forming or stamping lines while extending service life by 5-30 years in corrosive environments—achieving over 1,000 hours of salt spray resistance (ASTM B117) at minimal maintenance cost.

1. Corrosion Resistance: Galvanizing is an economical and effective rust prevention method that is often used. About half of the world's zinc production is used for this process. Zinc not only forms a dense protective layer on steel surface, but also has cathodic protection effect. When the zinc coating is damaged, it can still prevent the corrosion of iron based materials through cathodic protection.
2. Good Cold Bending and Welding Performance: low carbon steel is mainly used, which requires good cold bending, welding performance and certain stamping performance
3. Reflectivity: high reflectivity, making it a thermal barrier
4. The Coating Has Strong Toughness, and the zinc coating forms a special metallurgical structure, which can withstand mechanical damage during transportation and use.
Galvanized Steel Coils serve as essential anti-corrosion substrates in construction (70% usage), automotive (15%), and appliance sectors, enabling high-speed roll-forming for roofing trusses, car chassis, and HVAC casings. Their zinc coating (40-600g/m²) provides 15-30 year lifespans in harsh environments—e.g., Z275-grade coils withstand 1,000+ hour salt spray tests for coastal infrastructure—while reducing lifecycle costs by 40% versus painted carbon steel.
