    Hot Rolled Steel Coil is produced by rolling steel slabs at high temperatures (typically above 1100°C). The process ensures good mechanical properties, stable thickness, and excellent formability. Below is a clear and concise overview of the production process:

    1. Steelmaking

    Iron, scrap, and alloys are melted in a converter or electric arc furnace. Chemical composition is adjusted to meet the required steel grade.

    2. Continuous Casting

    The molten steel is solidified in a continuous caster to form slabs, usually 150–250 mm thick.

    3. Reheating Furnace

    Slabs are heated to 1100–1250°C to prepare for rolling.

    4. Roughing Mill

    Heated slabs pass through roughing stands, where they are elongated and reduced in thickness to form an initial steel strip.

    5. Finishing Mill

    The strip is further rolled in a series of finishing stands to achieve the target thickness (1.2–25 mm) with improved surface quality and dimensional accuracy.

    6. Laminar Cooling

    The hot strip is rapidly cooled using laminar flow water cooling to achieve the desired microstructure and mechanical properties.

    7. Coiling

    The cooled strip is wound into Hot Rolled Steel Coils (typically 10–30 MT per coil).

    8. Inspection & Packing

    Thickness, width, surface, and mechanical properties are tested. Qualified coils are then strapped, labeled, and prepared for storage or shipment.

    1. Corrosion Resistance: Galvanizing is an economical and effective rust prevention method that is often used. About half of the world's zinc production is used for this process. Zinc not only forms a dense protective layer on steel surface, but also has cathodic protection effect. When the zinc coating is damaged, it can still prevent the corrosion of iron based materials through cathodic protection.

    2. Good Cold Bending and Welding Performance: low carbon steel is mainly used, which requires good cold bending, welding performance and certain stamping performance

    4.   What is the average lead time?

    For samples, the lead time is about 7 days.    For mass production, the lead time is 5-20 days after receiving the deposit payment.    The lead times become effective when

    (1) we have received your deposit, and (2) we have your final approval for your products.    If our lead times do not work with your deadline, please go over your requirements with your sale.    In all cases we will try to accommodate your needs.    In most cases we are able to do so.

    5.   What kinds of payment methods do you accept?

    30% in advance by T/T, 70% will be before shippment basic on FOB;     30% in advance by T/T, 70% against the copy of BL basic on CIF.
