Key Notes
Chemical composition limits are essentially the same for Class 1, 2, and 3; the primary difference lies in heat treatment (normalized vs. quenched & tempered).
Low carbon content ensures good weldability and toughness.
Mn and Si improve strength and deoxidation.

1️⃣ Bulk Cargo
works for large shipments. The plates are loaded directly onto ships or stacked with anti-slip pads between the base and the plate, wooden wedges or metal wires between plates and surface protection with rain-proof sheets or oil for rust prevention.
Pros: High payload, low cost.
Note: Specialized lifting gear is needed and condensation and surface damage must be avoided during haulage.
2️⃣ Containerized Cargo
Good for medium to small shipments. The plates are packed one by one with waterproofing and anti-rust treatment; a desiccant can be added in the container.
Advantages: Provides superior protection, easy to handle.
Drawbacks: Higher cost, decreased container loading volume.
