SSAW STEEL PIPE

SSAW pipe, or spiral seam submerged arc welded steel pipe, is made from coiled steel. After uncoiling, flattening, and edge milling, it is gradually rolled into a spiral shape using a forming machine. The internal and external seams are welded using an automatic double-wire, double-sided submerged arc welding process. The pipe then undergoes cutting, visual inspection, and hydrostatic testing.

1. Black Oil:
Rust-proof. Use newly produced steel pipes for spray coating. Thickness is approximately 5-8 microns. Customers generally do not have specific requirements.
Process: Liquid spray coating

2. FBE:
Hot-dissolve epoxy. Bare pipes are placed on the production line and first derusted. Derusting process: SA2.5 (descaling process, sandblasting) / ST3 (manual derusting). The steel pipes are heated and FBE powder is applied. Single or double-layer FBE is used.

3. 3PE:
First layer: Epoxy resin powder (color adjustable), second layer: Adhesive (transparent), third layer: PE (spiral wrap).
Anti-crossing or non-anti-crossing

4. Epoxy Coal Tar Enamel Coating (ECTE Coating):
Suitable for underground and submerged installations. Lower cost, less pollution.

LSAW STEEL PIPE

LSAW STEEL PIPE (Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welding Pipe) is a straight seam submerged arc welded pipe. It uses medium and thick plates as raw materials. It is pressed (rolled) into a pipe blank in a mold or forming machine, and then double-sided submerged arc welding is used to expand the diameter.
