H BEAM: An I-shaped steel with parallel inner and outer flange surfaces. H-shaped steel is categorized into wide-flange H-shaped steel (HW), medium-flange H-shaped steel (HM), narrow-flange H-shaped steel (HN), thin-walled H-shaped steel (HT), and H-shaped piles (HU). It offers high bending and compressive strength and is the most widely used type of steel in modern steel structures.
Angle steel, also known as angle iron, is a steel material with two sides at right angles. It is categorized as either equal-leg angle steel or unequal-leg angle steel. Specifications are indicated by side length and thickness, and the model number is based on the length in centimeters. Equal-leg angle steel ranges from size 2 to 20, while unequal-leg angle steel ranges from size 3.2/2 to size 20/12.5. Angle steel offers a simple structure and is easy to install, making it widely used in lightweight steel structures, equipment supports, and other applications.
U-channel steel is a U-shaped steel bar. Its specifications are expressed in millimeters as haunch height (h) × leg width (b) × haunch thickness (d). For example, 120×53×5 indicates a channel with a haunch height of 120 mm, a leg width of 53 mm, and a haunch thickness of 5 mm, also known as 12# channel steel. Channel steel has good bending resistance and is often used for supporting structures and in areas with high load-bearing capacity.
